Close Contact Installation
Close Contact Installation
Close Contact
Challenge
This installation piece was created for a university assignment. The fictional brief was to create an “innovative installation that will highlight the theme of covid-19 and how it has affected the arts community”.
Outcome
“Close Contact” is an installation piece that uses transmedia storytelling to distort the viewer’s perception of visual reality; whilst provoking feelings and questions around digital vs physical space in a post covid-19 world. The theoretical outcome is an installation outside the Brisbane street art festival for the 2022 Launch party.
Scope
The installation was assembled in a QUT gallery. The deliverables were a physical installation, an AR animation on the app Eyejack, a virtual tour of the space and a video documenting the installation.
